Eight functions of woodworking edge banding machine

Woodworking edge banding machine is a highly automated woodworking machinery used for edge banding of sheet metal. Its eight major functions are summarized as follows:

Pre milling: Double milling cutters are used to further modify the ripple marks, burrs, or non perpendicular phenomena caused by cutting saws and cutting saws after processing, in order to achieve better edge sealing effect, making the bonding between the edge sealing strip and the board more tightly, and improving the overall integrity and aesthetics.

Glue edge sealing: Through a special structure, the edge sealing board and material are evenly coated on both sides to ensure a stronger adhesive force.

Qitou: Adopting a model based automatic tracking and high-frequency high-speed motor fast cutting structure to ensure a smooth and flat cutting surface. Some edge banding machines achieve alignment function through precise linear guide motion.

Rough trimming: The rough trimming knife is generally a flat knife, mainly used for trimming the excess part when processing the sealing veneer. The rough trimming function is to partially mill the edges of the protruding parts on the upper and lower sides of the board, reducing the burden on the finishing tool.

Refinement: The refinement knife is an R-shaped knife, mainly used for PVC and acrylic edge banding of panel furniture. Edge banding with a thickness of 0.8mm or more is preferred. The finishing function is to shape and mill the edge strips adhered to the upper and lower parts of the board into edges with an R-curve shape.

Tracking and trimming/contour tracking: The upper and lower rounding device can make the end face of the board smoother and more beautiful. The tracking function is to mill the four edges and corners of the adhesive strip of the board into an R arc shape, increasing the aesthetic appearance of the board's edges and corners.

Scraping edge: used to eliminate the ripple marks caused by the cutting process of non-linear trimming, making the upper and lower parts of the board smoother and neater.

Polishing: Clean the processed board with a cotton polishing wheel to make the edge sealing surface smoother through polishing.

In addition, some woodworking edge banding machines also have other functions such as slotting, which are used for directly slotting wardrobe side panels, bottom panels, etc., reducing the process of sawing and making it more convenient and efficient. These functions enable the woodworking edge banding machine to efficiently and accurately complete the edge banding process of the board, improving the production efficiency and product quality of furniture manufacturing.
